It is with great regret and sadness that we have to inform you that Siebren Kuperus, former board member, studbook coordinator, passionate reptile keeper and above all great colleague and friend, suddenly passed away on Thursday 5 November.
Siebren was a very driven reptile keeper. He booked great success in keeping and breeding rare lizards like the Crocodile lizard, one of his favourite gems. Committed to the ex-situ conservation of these endangered species he filled several positions within the ESF and participated in various studbooks. Always willing to share opinions and helpful to other enthusiasts.
A great loss for our community. Siebren, thank you for everything.
Our thoughts are with his wife and children, relatives and friends.
An interview with Siebren was published earlier this year: Interview with Siebren Kuperus
